Lake Blue Ridge

Although the lake is managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority it is located in Fannin County Georgia. At more than 1600 feet above sea level and covering more than 3200 acres you can see why Lake Blue Ridge is one of the most visited attractions in the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Georgia. In 2010 the lake was a bit disappointing because it was drained by the TVA in order to make repairs to the damn. Lake homes lost their bragging rights for quite some time and unsuspecting vacationers were left with an “empty” feeling. Luckily in April of 2011 the TVA started filling the lake once again.

If you are planning a trip to North Georgia and you are looking for some fun in the sun then this is the place. Visit the Lake Blue Ridge Marina where you can rent pontoon boats, buy waverunners and seadoos, or bring your own boat and use the boat ramp. The marina also has a fuel dock and wet slips. You can spend a few hours or spend the day, either way you will have a great time.

Looking for even more adventure?  There is camping and fishing too. It is fun for the whole family. If you are planning a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia then be sure to make time for a day at Lake Blue Ridge.
