Jack Williams will be performing a concert as part of the Live Music is Better concert series at the Blue Ridge Community Theater in Blue Ridge, Georgia on November 16, 2012. Jack’s career as a singer/songwriter has spanned 54 years and his performing folk, jazz, rock, R&B, classical, and pop music of the 30s, 40s, 50s has shaped him into the dynamic folk performer he is today. He is known as a unique guitarist whose southern roots and storytelling ability creates vivid songs that are illustrated with his guitar.

Cowboy Envy

Next up in the Live Music is Better Concert Series at the Blue Ridge Community Theater in Blue Ridge, Georgia is the western band “Cowboy Envy”. They travel all over the United States performing their cowboy music. They are doing their part to keep the spirit of western music alive! Their heavenly voices and harmonies have won them multiple awards including “Best Harmony” from the Western Music Association and their humor always makes them an entertaining show to see.

Music and Art in Blue Ridge

June 16, 2012 is an eventful day in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Visit downtown Blue Ridge for the Galleries of East Main Art Walk. The Multitudes Gallery, High Country Art and Antiques, and Turning Leaf Wood Art offers an art walk from 5 PM to 8 PM on every 3rd Saturday of the month on East Main Street.

Maxwell Taylor will be returning to the Art Center for an evening performance from 7 PM to 9 PM. His soulful voice and legendary impersonations were so well received in his previous performance that he is back by popular demand.  Tickets are $20 per person. Another musical show taking place on June 16 will be An Evening of Bluegrass at the Fannin County Performing Arts Center. This is a fundraiser for the Empty Stocking Program and the bands featured will be One Goal, Five Mile Cove, Flatline, and Walking in Tradition. Ticket prices for adults are $8 in advance, $10 at the door, kids 6 – 12 are $4 in advance, $5 at the door. Jonathan Byrd in Concert

The next musical artist to perform in the Live Music is Better concert series at the Blue Ridge Community Theater is Jonathan Byrd. This talented musician plays a mean acoustic guitar and his music touches on country with a taste of bluegrass, folk music, and rock and roll. His career started with the grand prize of a songwriting contest and he now has 5 CDs under his belt.

Danny Schmidt and Carrie Elkin

Live Music is Better with Ronny Cox

A well known actor and singer/songwriter, Ronny Cox along with Radoslav  Lorkovic and Karen Mal will be performing at the Blue Ridge Community Theater in Blue Ridge, Georgia on March 31, 2012 as part of the Live Music is Better concert series. Ronny Cox made his film debut in the movie “Deliverance” and played guitar in Dueling Banjos from that movie. 2012 marks the 40th anniversary of “Deliverance” and Mr. Cox has written a book recounting his experiences of filming the movie. Pre-release copies of the book will be available at this very special performance. Ronny Cox has had a successful career in film and TV and also enjoys singing and songwriting. He spends about half of his time acting and the other half performing his music in folk festivals, concert venues, and small theaters.

The Blue Ridge Community Theater is bringing live music shows to Blue Ridge, Georgia in the Live Music is Better music series.
