About Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge, GA, incorporated in 1887, is a quaint little town set in the Appalachian Mountains, covering 2.17 square miles. When visiting, there are a wide variety of things to do.
If the great outdoors is what interests you, Blue Ridge offers you plenty of outdoor activities. There are hiking trails, biking trails, whitewater rafting, tubing, horseback riding, and more! Lake Blue Ridge is just one of the many places where you can spend a fun day swimming, boating, or fishing with the family.
For those of you who prefer shopping and dining, there are a number of antique and specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants to choose from. There is also a nice scenic railroad on which you can ride and see the beautiful scenery of North Georgia. The train has a short layover in the towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee where you can enjoy the shops and restaurants while you are there.
